May 26Mathew Hammond, 34, of Newton pleaded guilty to eluding, a crime of the third-degree and resisting arrest, a crime of the fourth degree.
Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 25.
The defendant admitted he did not comply with Sparta police when they tried to effectuate a motor vehicle stop, using lights and sirens. He also admitted that he ran from police when they located him later that evening and after a brief foot chase he was taken into custody.  
Hammond was represented by William Oake, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Shaina Brenner.
June 23Lea Applegate, 21, of Mine Hill was sentenced to three years of probation. She received 51 days of jail credit for time served. The defendant must also complete a TASC evaluation and follow all recommendations, enter into an IOP treatment until completion, submit a DNA sample, pay $1,041.46 in restitution and pay court fines and fees.
She pleaded guilty on May 17, 2016, to possession of a controlled dangerous substance and shoplifting, both crimes of a third degree.
The defendant took several video games along with a co-defendant from the Franklin Walmart in July of 2016. In September of 2016, Hopatcong police were responding to a disturbance call where the defendant was found to be in possession of Heroin.
Robert Wilson, 29, of Stanhope was sentenced to three years in New Jersey state prison to run concurrent to Warren and Morris County sentences. He was ordered to submit a DNA sample at his own expense, make restitution of $3,000.00 and pay fines and fees totaling $155.
He pleaded guilty on Feb. 14 to burglary, a third-degree crime.
Alex Gomez, 35, of Bronx, was sentenced to one year of probation, 180 days of jail time with 79 credit for time served, TASC evaluation, follow recommendations, fines and fees.
He pleaded guilty on May 8, 2017, to one count of Shoplifting (a fourth-degree crime).
June 26Eric Fischer, 41, ofd Newton pleaded guilgty to one count of possession of controlled dangerous substance, a third-degree offense.
Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 25.
Caleb Byson, 21, of Hopatcong pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled dangerous substance, theft, receiving stolen property, fraudulent use of a credit card, two counts of conspiracy to commit burglary, two counts of burglary, two counts of forgery, all third-degree crimes and shoplifting and resisting arrest, both disorderly offenses.
Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 25.
In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to using a stolen credit card to make two purchases at a Hopatcong Rite Aid on Feb. 22. He admitted to being in possession of 14 Xanax pills and to shoplifting multiple bottles of alcohol from a Wantage liquor store on March 4, 2017. He admitted to conspiring with others to enter a vehicle in Hopatcong on March 6, and to taking jewelry and other items from the vehicle. He admitted to receiving a stolen iPhone on March 6, in Hopatcong. He admitted to conspiring with another to burglarize a Vernon home on April 2, and to running and hiding from police officers who arrived to investigate the reported burglary.
June 28Timothy Figueroa, 44, of Dover, pleaded guilty to one count of shoplifting, a fourth-degree offense.
He was sentenced to 95 days in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility and was credited with 95 days' time served.
He also was ordered to pay restituition and mandatory fines and fees.
June 29John Moore, 25, of Highland Lakes pleaded guilty to one count of failure to turn over CDS to law enforcement, a disorderly persons offense.
He was sentenced to mandatory fines and fees.
