Franklin police are seeking information on burglars who are accused of breaking into the Franklin Mineral Museum on Monday and stealing about $30,000 worth of precious stones, gems and minerals.
Police said the break-in is believed to have happened sometime after 4:40 a.m., when burglars forced their way into the museum through a second-story window and ransacked the shelves and displays. Police said the museum's display cabinets were shattered causing substantial damage.
