New faces on Franklin, Hardyston councils

FRANKLIN — There will be a new faces on the Franklin Borough Council and Hardyston Township Council next year.
In Franklin, John E. Postas finished second in Tuesday's Republican primary to secure one of two available nominations.
Incumbent Joe Limon was the hightest vote-getter with 275 votes with Postas right behind him at 269. Incumbent councilman Robert C. Dabinett finished third and Stephan Zydon, Jr., was fourth.
Limon and Postas will face Patricia Rowett, who ran unopposed in the Democratic primary in November.
In Hardyston, Brian J. Kaminski and incumbent Leslie G. Hamilton won the Republican nominations for two seats on the Township Council with 372 and 352 votes respectively. Incumbent Frank Cicerale was edged out with 339 votes.
Kaminski and Hamilton will face Democrat Michele Van Allen, who ran unopposed in the Democratic primary, in November.
At the county level, Herbert Yardley won the Republican nomination for the Board of Chosen Freeholders over Allish Hambel. He will face Democrat Daniel Perez in November for the three-year term. Incumbent Phil Crabb is not seeking re-election.
All other local races were unopposed
