OAK RIDGE — Alexa Pettit pitched a four hitter as Jefferson defeated Mahwah, 9-1 on Tuesay, May 23 in the quarterfinals of the North Jersey Section 1 Group 2 tourney at Jefferson Township High School.
Nicole Vassallo went 4-for-4 with three RBI and two runs while Chelsea Bitondo went 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs for the Lady Falcons (20-7). Isabel Seise went 2-for-3 with one double and one home run. Carly Wurster went 1-for-4 with one triple and two RBIs.
Emily Pryor went 1-for-3 with one RBI for sixth-seeded Mahwah (15-9). Mahwah pitcher Emily August threw for six innings producing eight strikeouts.
