Wirths earned vote

After viewing the dynamic performance of Republican Assembly candidate Hal Wirths at the primary debate, he has unequivocally earned my vote based upon his outstanding job performance as the NJ Labor Commissioner. Under his watch, the department cracked down on unemployment insurance fraud, saving the taxpayers over one billion dollars to date; New Jersey was the first in the country to implement identity-proofing software (costing a modest $1,600), revised data review procedures, and implemented stringent accountability measures. Wirths accepted nothing less than the aggressive pursuit, identification, and prosecution of offenders, with the department catching over 2,000 people per week who attempted to defraud the system.
Under Wirths, the Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund, $2.4 billion in debt just a few years ago, is now in the black. Keep in mind, this was done in the midst of the Great Recession. This gentleman not only talks the talk, but also has proven that he can walk the walk, and then some. Trenton should roll out the red carpet for him, because when he shows up to represent LD24 beside the conservative team of Senator Steve Oroho and Assemblyman Parker Space, we will absolutely see this team produce aggressive, measurable accountability and results for the people. Wirths has gained the respect of legislators from both sides of the aisle, solely earned through his ethical and highly-effective record of servant leadership and negotiation skills for the benefit of the taxpayers. He appears to be realist, concise and compelling when he speaks, logical and decisive in his convictions, and most of all, he is a highly-informed candidate. In my opinion, this is the one to watch in this primary race. Plainly put, his record speaks for itself; this man works for the people of New Jersey and he gets results.
