Top aerobatic competitors ready for Greenwood Lake Air Show

WEST MILFORD — With less than a month to go until the 9th annual Greenwood Lake Air Show on June 10 and 11, organizers are working to square away the final details. This event is stacking up to be one of the biggest yet with four hours of performances!
The skies above Greenwood Lake Airport in West Milford will be filled with aerobatic and vintage aircraft as performers from across the nation show off their carefully practiced skills. Return guests will see some old favorites including Justin Lewis in the FLS Microjet and Jerry McCart in his Jet Powered Ford F650 “Homewrecker.” These two might even have a grudge to settle again this year and a high speed race may be in order. Various historic aircraft from World War II will also take to the air once again with demonstrations throughout the day.
The Aerostars will show off their precision aerobatics late in the afternoon. Best described as an aerial ballet they fascinate audiences with a combination of graceful maneuvers in tight formations and spectacular breakaways followed by breathtaking opposing passes.
New performers include Matt Chapman, Rob Holland, and Bill Stein. Individually they were some of the top aerobatic competitors and together they are known as the 4CE. Watch their solo routines throughout the day and stick around for their headlining performance as the 4CE. This formation team will push their aircraft to the limit with high intensity aerobatic maneuvers.
Gates open at 10 a.m. each day with performances beginning around 12:30 p.m. Before and during the performances guests may peruse the vendors selling their wares, check out historical exhibits, get photos near vintage World War II aircraft, and visit the car show.
Tickets are available online at www.greenwoodlakeairshow.com or they can be purchased at the gates. General admission starts at $10 for children, $15 for seniors, and $25 for adults. A new ticket option was released offering fans an exclusive view of the show, interaction with the performers, food, drinks, and more. Limited seats are available and must be purchased in advance.
