Franklin American Legion post to host parades, services in area

    Franklin's American Legion Post 132 will host Memorial Day Parades and Services on Monday, May 29.
    The Ogdensburg parade will be at 8 a.m. from the firehouse to St Thomas cemetery for a memorial service, followed by memorial services at Franklin's Immaculate Conception cemetery at 8:45 a.m., and North Church (Hardyston) cemetery, Route 94 at 9:15 a.m.
    The Franklin parade will start at the Legion Post (behind ShopRite Plaza) at 10:30 a.m. Parade will proceed up Rutherford Avenue to Main Street to the war memorial across from the Boro Hall, where a service will be held.
    Military personnel, veterans, the Franklin Town Band, fire departments, rescue squads, scouts and civic organizations are invited to participate. Classic cars are needed to transport some of our veterans.
