Jeffrey Palacios of Lafayette has received a scholarship to attend Berkeley College.
Each year, these scholarships are awarded to high school seniors who demonstrate a high level of achievement. The scholarships are renewable, based on the recipient’s cumulative grade point average at the end of each academic year and continued enrollment as a full-time student.
Eliza Osborne of Lafayette joined the fight against childhood cancer as a Dancer with UDance at the University of Delaware.
UDance is the university's largest student-run philanthropy benefiting the Wilmington, Delaware based Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation. In March, the organization celebrated a year's worth of fundraising during its 11th annual twelve-hour dance marathon. UDance is the fifth largest college dance marathon in the nation with over 2,000 student participants.
Joseph Cuccio and Carrie Cullen, both of Oak Ridge, were named to Emerson College's dean's list for the fall 2016 semester.
The requirement to make the Dean's List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher.
Jessica Competiello of Oak Ridge was one of over 150 IC students to be named to the Empire 8 president's list.
In order to be considered for the president's list, a student-athlete must earn a 3.75 grade point average or higher while participating in a conference-sponsored sport.
Alexis Salisbury of Franklin was presented the David S. Ives Humanities Scholarship at Youngstown State University's College of Liberal Arts and Social Science Honors Convocation,
Salisbury is a Italian Education major.
Brianna Treacy of Oak Ridge was among the newest members from University of the Sciences inducted into the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy Alpha Tau Chapter of Rho Chi, the Academic Honor Society in Pharmacy
The Rho Chi Honor Society recognizes and encourages academic excellence. Treacy is a doctor of pharmacy student.
Lindsay Brown of Oak Ridge has been inducted into the Phi Zeta Kappa honor society.
Eligibility for membership in the University's junior honor society is established by completing at least the first 60 credits toward an undergraduate degree. Of these, 44 must have been earned at Fairleigh Dickinson and a CGPR of 3.20 must have been maintained for all of them. All the preceding requirements must have been fulfilled prior to the accumulation of 80 credits toward the undergraduate degree.
Brooke Van Veen of Oak Ridge was recognized for academic achievement at Lebanon Valley College's Spring Awards and Recognition Ceremony. The Spring Awards and Recognition Ceremony recognizes excellence in natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities.
Van Veen, a graduate of Jefferson Township High School, is pursuing a bachelor of music and bachelor of arts in audio and music production and music at The Valley and won the following award(s): Alumni Scholarship.
