SCCC plans skills and networking event

    If you are looking for work and need help finding a job then think about attending the Sussex County Community College’s Business Skills & Networking Event.
    The event is being held on Saturday, May 6, from noon until 5 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center.
    The Event will begin with a meet and greet of local businesses and organizations who will share upcoming job opportunities. A “Leadership” workshop presented by Dr. Jon Connolly, SCCC president, will take place ast 12:30 p.m. Attendees can also improve their chances of landing a job at the “Learning Job Search Strategies” workshop or receive expert advice at the Resume Writing workshop. A special Keynote presentation on “How to Start and Grow Your Business” will be presented by Onset Worldwide, an importer and distributor of natural agricultural ingredients to the food and non-food industry. Networking will be available throughout the day’s events.
    The business Skills and Networking Event is free and open to the public and is sponsored by the SCCC Business Department and Business Club. This program is partially funded by a TAACCCT-4 Grant from the US Department of Labor's (DOL) Employment and Training Administration.
