    April 19Richard Boydston of Vernon was charged with second-degree attempted sexual assault, second-degree luring, third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, third-degree obscenities to a minor, and fourth-degree attempted criminal sexual contact.
    Authorities said the charges stem from an undercover investigation in which Richard Boydston had communications with a detective of the High Tech Crimes Unit of the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office, using the persona of a fourteen 14-year --old female. It is alleged that Boydston had sexually explicit conversations with what he believed to be a 14-year-old female via the website Chatstep.com and text messaging. Authorities said Richard Boydston then made arrangements to meet in person with what he believed to be the 14-year-old and was arrested by law enforcement. 
    The case was investigated by the High Tech Crimes Unit of the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office, a member of the New Jersey Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. A court date has been set for May 22 for an Early Disposition Conference. The investigation is ongoing.

    April 20Brianne Lutz, 34, of Newton was sentenced to five years of probation and a six-month loss of her driver's license. She must also obtain and maintain gainful employment, submit a DNA sample, undergo a TASC evaluation and follow all recommendations, obtain substance abuse and mental health treatment and pay $1,205 in court fines and fees.
    She pleaded guilty on March 22, 2017, to possession of a controlled dangerous substance and receiving stolen property, both crimes of the third degree and fourth degree.  In May of 2016 the defendant was in receipt of various items taken during home burglaries in Green and Fredon by a co-defendant.  She was also a passenger involved in a motor vehicle stop by Sparta Police and was found to be in possession of Heroin, this incident occurred in January 2017.
    April 21Jessica L. Cillatoro, 25, of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., was sentenced to three years of probation on condition that she enter and complete intensive outpatient treatment, obtain a TASC evaluation and follow all recommendations, undergo random urine monitoring, submit a DNA sample, attend AA/NA three times per week, and pay $1205 in court fines and fees. She was given credit for 241 days already served in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility.
    She pleaded guilty on March 6 to third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
    Franklin police were responding to a suspicious vehicle that was parked at the end of a road, in a wooded area and found the defendant and a co-defendant.  The defendant was in possession of cocaine at that time.
    Victor Ortega, 22, of Bronx, was sentenced to one year of probation. He was ordered to complete 100 hours of community service work, make restitution of $20 and pay fines and fees totaling $155. 
    He pleaded guilty on March 6, 2017, to Theft, a third-degree crime.
    Kyle Werner, 28, of Sussex Borough was sentenced to three years of probation and 85 days in jail with credit for 55 days and to serve the balance of 30 days in the Sherriff's Labor Assistance Program. He was ordered to attend AA/NA three times per week, continue treatment, submit a DNA sample at his own expense, make restitution totaling $5,129.88, and pay fines and fees totaling $2,886. His driver's license was ordered suspended for one year.
    He pleaded guilty on Feb. 28, 2017, to burglary, a third-degree crime, joyriding, a third-degree crime, resisting arrest, a fourth-degree crime, obstruction of justice, a fourth-degree crime, and the motor vehicle offenses of leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, driving while suspended, and reckless driving.
    The defendant entered a Vernon Township auto repair shop without permission and took a vehicle for a ride on May 29, 2014. He drove the vehicle into a wooden structure at the Vernon Dairy Queen.  He abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot from police.
    Brienne Fitzsimmons, 30, of Hackettstown was sentenced to three years of probation. She was ordered to submit to a TASC evaluation and follow any and all recommendations made from same, attend AA/NA meetings two to three years of probation.     She pleaded guilty on Feb. 14, 2017, to attempt to obtain a controlled dangerous substance by fraud, a third-degree crime.
    The defendant called in and tried to pick up a fraudulent prescription from the Stop and Shop Pharmacy in Sparta on November 12, 2016.
