Sparta — Pass It Along Day is Saturday May 20, 2017. Pass It Along Day, in its 16th year, has grown to become one of the largest one-day service events in Northern New Jersey. On this day, volunteers of all ages participate in community service projects to help nonprofit agencies through Sussex, Morris and Warren counties. Projects include painting, landscaping minor structural repairs, planning gardens and much more. Norwescap, SCARC, Sunset Vista, Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice and OSCARS are just a few of the non-profit organizations volunteers will be helping.
“Pass It Along Day is a special day for our community. Our volunteers are helping so many in need, our nonprofit partners and the communities at large. This year we’ve added a lot of new projects. Our hope is that we have the largest number of volunteers ever,” said Diane Taylor, president & CEO of Pass It Along.
Volunteers of all ages, organizations, business teams, families and individuals should go to www.passitalong.org for full list of projects and to register. Business should contact Pass It Along at 973-726-9777 x228 for sponsorship and volunteer opportunities for their employees.
