Darlene E. Gindhart

Darlene E. Gindhart, 52, and her daughter, Alicia F. Montello both died Wednesday April 19, 2017. Darlene was born in Passaic February 22, 1965. She has resided in the Stockholm section of Hardyston Twp. for the last 23 years.
Darlene was a mail carrier for the Sparta Post Office. She was an activist for many school projects including; new playground equipment for Hardyston Elementary School, media board for the Middle School and other projects. She volunteered for the PTA in the Hardyston Twp. Schools and the PTO at Sussex Technical High School. Darlene served as the team manager for the Wallkill Valley Travel Soccer Team. Darlene was a role model for all who knew her, always willing to help and do for others.
Darlene is survived by her husband, Robert Gindhart; son, Sean Gindhart at home; parents, Elizabeth Umowski of Bogota and Stanley Umowski Jr. of Washington Twp.; sisters, Marian Berge of Succasunna, Lynn McAleer of Sparta and Denice Corridore of Chester as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours were held Sunday April 23, 2017 from 1-4 p.m. at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home One Main St. Franklin. A service will followed at 4 p.m. Interment and graveside services will be held Tuesday April 25, 2017 at 10 a.m. at North Hardyston Cemetery.
