Sussex County chamber welcomes Disney institute

NEWTON — The Sussex County Chamber of Commerce is proud to welcome Disney Institute back to Sussex County to present a one-day professional development course, Disney’s Approach to Business Excellence, on Thursday, April 13, at Sussex County Community College, Newton.
To date, the Chamber has sponsored four different presentations by Disney Institute and is offering this fifth course for the first time.
“All of the courses we’ve offered have been so popular we decided to bring Disney Institute back with a new offering,” said Tammie Horsfield, president of the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce. More than 400 company representatives from 170 companies have taken the courses with the Chamber.
The one-day event will help area professionals begin to understand the power of leadership values, discover how customer loyalty can be established, and gain insight into how organizational culture is strengthened. The training uses business insights and time-tested examples from Disney parks and resorts worldwide to inspire individuals and organizations to enhance their own customer experience using Disney principles as their guide.

Past participants have included representatives from area businesses of all sizes and industries. “The information imparted in programs is relevant and accessible to companies regardless of employee count.” explains Horsfield. “Attendees can take the course on Thursday and begin using what they learned at the office on Friday.” As part of the training, participants will receive training manuals/workbooks from the Disney Institute as well as a certificate of completion.
Advanced registration is $300 per participant for Sussex County Chamber of Commerce members and $500.00 for non-Chamber members through April 7 and $350 per participant for Sussex County Chamber of Commerce members and $550 per participant until event day.
