Catholic charities plans senior hunger event

FRANKLIN — In celebration of the 15th Annual March for Meals, CFCS Sussex County Meals on Wheels will hold its event on March 22nd to bring awareness of senior hunger and isolation.
Meals on Wheels presently serve 106 seniors in our area, delivering a hot nutritious meal to a senior who may otherwise go without. All contributions are tax deductible, and every donation goes to help feed a senior.
The event will be at Catholic Family and Community Services, located at 48 Wyker Road, Franklin.
This event is part of ‘March for Meals’ special Community Champions Week. Between Monday, March 20 and Friday, March 24, Meals on Wheels programs from across the country will invite elected officials, local celebrities and other prominent figures to deliver meals, speak out for seniors and raise awareness for the power of Meals on Wheels.
