Franklin police seeking help searching for suspect

Franklin Borough Police Department is investigating a burglary to a motor vehicle from the Walmart parking area.
A Vernon resident’s purse was stolen from her motor vehicle on or about Sept. 7, 2016.. The victim reported the incident to the jurisdiction in which she resides, Vernon Twp., on Sept. 12, 2016.
A preliminary investigation was conducted by Vernon Twp. PD during which time it was discovered that a female suspect used six checks at TD Banks, Wells Fargo Banks, and a Chase Bank, depriving the victim of nearly $15,000.
The vehicle used appears to be a newer model Hyundai Santa Fe displaying plates belonging to a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
