Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka follows enigmatic candy manufacturer, Willy Wonka, (played by Phil Cocilovo of Montague, N.J. and understudied by Jeffrey Prol JR. of Sparta, N.J.) as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats: the fifth is a likeable young lad named Charlie Bucket, who takes the tour in the company of his equally amiable grandfather. The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka's rules in the factory... or suffer the consequences.
This production features the heartwarming, comical, and iconic characters of Roald Dahl’s novel and the 1971 classic film. This productions cast includes Dan Reed as Grandpa Joe, Pete Reynolds as Mr. Bucket, Vicky Reed as Mrs. Bucket, Lori Tomlin as Ms. Teevee, Michelle Kloian as Ms. Beauregarde, Genevieve Pilat as Grandma Josephine, Connor Nelms as Phineous Trout and Joshua Reed as Mr. Salt as well as a very large cast of young actors from throughout Sussex County.
