    Jan. 13 Narendra Hiralall, 40, of Mine Hill was sentenced to three years of probation on condition that he serve 180 days in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility, with credit for 79 days already served. He must also testify truthfully against his co-defendant(s) and obtain a TASC evaluation and follow all recommendations.
    He pleaded guilty on Sept. 26, 2016, to possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a crime of the third degree.
    In September of 2015, when being questioned by Franklin Police regarding another investigation, the defendant was found to be in possession of Heroin.
    Krystal Rossi, 29, of Newton was sentenced to two years of probation. She was ordered to complete 90 hours of community service, submit a handwritten 250-word letter of apology to the victim within 30 days, make restitution of $375.49 and pay fines and fees totaling $155. f she satisfactorily completes the conditions of probation and incurs no drug-related charges, she may apply for early release after 12 months.
    She pleaded guilty on Dec. 8, 2016, to shoplifting, a fourth-degree crime.
    She took items from the Walmart in Hampton without paying for them on ten different occasions.
    James Sweller, 41, of Newton, was sentenced to three years in New Jersey State Prison and Parole Supervision for Life. Sweller was also ordered to pay $916.92 in restitution along with mandatory fines and fees.
    Sweller pled guilty on Oct. 20, 2016 to four counts of Burglary, third degree offenses; one count of defrauding a drug test, a third degree offense; one count of possessing an instrument designed to defraud a drug test, a third-degree offense; and one count of violating the terms of community supervision for life.
    Jan. 17Roy A. Allen, 24, of Brooklyn, N.Y., pleaded guilty to Conspiracy to commit forgery, a crime of the third degree.
    Sentencing is presently scheduled for Feb. 24.
    The defendant admitted to driving his co-defendant to the Branchville, Lafayette and Augusta Post Offices where his co-defendant then cashed forged money orders. While they were at the Hamburg Post Office, again attempting to cash a forged money order, the Hamburg Police arrived. Allen drove away and was later charged. New Jersey State Troopers also assisted in the multi-jurisdiction investigation.
    Shannon Decker, 40, of Franklin, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer and Resisting Arrest, both crimes of the third degree.
    Sentencing is scheduled for March 3.
    Defendant admitted that she struck Franklin police officers while they were trying to arrest her after responding to an unknown medical condition where the defendant was found to be highly intoxicated.
    Decker also admitted to another incident where, again when police were trying to arrest her, she resisted by punching and kicking Hamburg police officers.
    Jan. 18Zachary R. Coombs, 20, of Vernon, pleaded guilty to two counts possession of a controlled dangerous substance and driving while suspended for a second or subsequent DWI, all are crimes of the fourth degree. He also pleadd guilty to DWI.
    Sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 24, 2017.
    The defendant admitted that when he was pulled over for a motor vehicle violation stop he had been drinking and driving and his license was suspended.
    John S. Christensen. 43, of Sussex Borough, pleaded guilty to two counts of driving while suspended for a second or subsequent DWI, a crime of the fourth degree.
    Sentencing is scheduled for March 3.
    The defendant admitted that on two different occasions he was found to be driving with a suspended license for a second or subsequent DWI.
    Jan. 20Anthony Girgenti, 56, of Hackettstown was sentenced to two years of probation and 364 days in jail, including a period of 180 days in which he is not eligible for parole, with credit for 55 days time served.
    He was ordered to submit to a TASC evaluation and mental health evaluation upon release at the discretion of probation and pay fines and fees totaling $155.
    He was convicted on November 3, 2016, after a jury trial to driving while suspended, a fourth-degree crime.
    On March 3, 2015, Girgenti was convicted in the Mansfield Township Municipal Court of his third offense of Driving While Intoxicated and his driver's license was suspended as a part of his sentence. On Aug. 28, 2015, Girgenti operated a motor vehicle in Andover Township during that period of driver's license suspension.
