Franklin man faces drug charges

A Franklin man is facing drug charges after police received multiple complaints of narcotics distribution on Cummins Street near High Street and Buckwheat Road the Franklin Borough Detective Bureau conducted an investigation.
Mark D. Forlenza, 46, of Franklin was charged Monday on multiple counts of possession of heroin and distriution of heroin. He also was charged with possession of xuboxone and methadone. Police allege that Forleza has distributed various narcotics in a school zone. Police also allege he was regularly selling heroin and other controlled dangerous substances from his home.
Following the execution of a search warrant, Forlenza is alleged to have a large undisclosed amount of heroin, methadone, suboxone, which were all packaged and ready for sale in his home. Police also recovered an undisclosed amount of currency alleged to be proceeds from narcotics sales. It also was removed from the home.
Forlenza was arrested at his home and faces 11 criminal charges. Forlenza was sent to the Sussex County Jail pending his first appearance in Superior Court.
Investigation is ongoing and additional arrests may follow.
