Irene C. Glodava, age 73, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017, at the Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice in Fredon. Born in Passaic to the late John and Irene (Vida) Bialek, Mrs. Glodava was raised in Clifton and lived in Las Vegas, Nev., before moving to Hamburg 18 years ago. She had been employed at the Franklin Shop Rite Supermarket in the seafood and deli departments for six years and retired in 2009. Mrs. Glodava was a member of St. Jude The Apostle Church in Hamburg and a former member of St. Cyril and Methodius R.C. Church in Clifton.
She was predeceased by her husband, John A. Glodava in 2009 and her sister, Maryann Aburas in 1994. Mrs. Glodava is survived by her daughters, Irene Czarnecki and her husband Pete of Hewitt, Martha Spreen and her husband John of Hawley, Pa., and Donna Cundari and her husband, Frank, of Oakland; her sister, Joyce Telesh of Las Vegas, Nevada; her three grandchildren; Sarina, Amber, and Giada; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017, at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Jude The Apostle Church, Beaver Run Road, Hamburg.
Interment St. Mary's Cemetery in Saddle Brook. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
