Children invited to bowl with Jeff Rec

The Jefferson Township Recreation Department is partnering with Sparta Lanes to provide another winter/spring bowling program for Jefferson Township students in Kindergarten (5 year olds) through 12th graders.
Join the team at Sparta Lanes at 83 Woodport Road in Sparta every Thursday beginning on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 4:30 p.m/ for this fun-filled 10-week program that runs through April 27 (no bowling on April 13 due to Spring break).
Each week, bowlers will play two games, a PBA and USBC hall of famer will be on hand occasionally for free coaching, there is a 10 percent discount in the Pro Shop on the purchase of a new bowling ball, bag or shoes, and each bowler will also be given a Jefferson bowling team t-shirt to wear each week.
The cost per bowler will be $70 for the 10-week program; and there is an option to have a meal included at Sparta Lanes for an additional $27.50 ($2.75 per week) for a total of $97.50. The meal would include a small drink with a hot dog or chicken nuggets each Thursday during each of the 10 weeks of the program.
Students can chose if they want to use the bowling bumpers, and everyone can choose two people who they would like to bowl with each week. Bowling partners must each file their own registration and all must agree on using bumpers or not.
Registration for this activity is online as The Jefferson Township Recreation Department is now exclusively using an online registration system through Community Pass for all its classes and activities. Log on to https://register.communitypass.net/reg/index.cfm, the community/organization is Jefferson Township, and if you already have a Community Pass account, enter your log in and password, choose the activity (EITHER “Bowling at Sparta Lanes” OR “Bowling with Meals at Sparta Lanes”) under the season “Winter/Spring 2017” and register your child and pay the activity fee. If you forgot your log in or password, the system will allow you to recover your log in using your email address and reset your password or call the Recreation Department for a temporary password.
If you need to set up a Community Pass account, a parent can easily follow the prompts to set up a personal family account in his/her name as an adult; and then add the child to the account, register the child, and pay for this activity. You will automatically receive an email confirmation after you register and make your payment.
If you experience difficulty in setting up an account online, log on to www.jeffersontownship.net, click on the “Form Center” link on the left side of the home page, and scroll down to the Recreation Department to find “Community Pass Online Registration Instructions” with step-by-step directions for Community Pass. If you need further assistance, please contact the Recreation office at 973-663-8404 x4 or cpunturieri@jeffersontownship.net for assistance.
Bowling participants must be registered and the activity fee paid in full before attending the first session on Feb. 16.
