    Jan. 3Kori Anderson, 29, of Paterson pleaded guilty to third-degree forgery.
    Sentencing is scheduled for March 3.
    The defendant admitted that she forged a check made out to the victim, issued by the victim and endorsed by the victim, all without the victim’s permission.
    Henry Henderson, 23, of Lafayette pleaded guilty to possession of a ctonrolled dangerous substance, a third-degree crime.
    Sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 24.
    In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to being in possession of 17 folds of heroin on Nov. 18, 2016, in Lafayette Township.
    The case was investigated by Officer Arlene Lippencott of the Sparta Township Police Department.
    Jan. 6Joseph Messina, 26, of Vernon, was sentenced to five years of probation and 364 days in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility with credit for 25 days time-served. He was ordered to continue substance abuse treatment, report once a week, submit a DNA sample at his own expense, and pay fines and fees.
    He pleaded guilty on Nov. 18, 2016, to false report with purpose to implicate another, a third-degree crime, defrauding the administration of a drug test, a third-degree crime, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a third-degree crime, hindering apprehension, a disorderly persons offense, failure to inspect, a motor vehicle offense, and violation of probation.
    On Jan. 29, 2016, in Hardyston Township, the defendant was stopped for a motor vehicle violation. He gave a false name to officers. On Jan. 30, the defendant falsely accused an officer of calling him names and striking him in the face.
    On April 6, 2016, he attempted to defraud a drug test during a drug screening for Probation. On May 31, 2016, the defendant was found to be in possession of Suboxone by the Sussex County Sheriff’s Office.
    Robert Agresta, 53, of Newton was sentenced to five years of non-custodial probation with jail credit for 12 dayss served. His driver license was ordered suspended for two years which will run concurrent with the motor vehicle convictions. He was ordered to submit a DNA sample at his own expense and pay fines and fees totaling $4,147.
    He pleaded guilty on Nov. 30, 2016, to possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a third-degree crime, and to the motor vehicle offenses of no insurance, driving while suspended and unregistered vehicle.
    On May 7, 2016, the defendant was stopped for a motor vehicle violation. He was found to be in possession of 160 wax folds of heroin and driving while suspended in an unregistered, uninsured vehicle.
