Virginia Way(nee Holte), 76 years old, died after a long illness at Arden Courts of Wayne on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017. Born to Ernest and Josephine Holte in Paterson, N.J., she had lived in North Haledon before moving to Hamburg, N.J., 15 years ago.
Virginia worked as a secretary for William Paterson College in Wayne, NJ for 28 years retiring in 2010. She was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception RC Church, Franklin, NJ and enjoyed gardening, cooking, walking and was a dedicated animal lover.
Virginia is the beloved wife for 53 years of John Way of Hamburg, N.J. Devoted mother of Pamela Sawyer and her husband, Steve of Ashaway, R.I., Suzanne Laganella and her husband, David of Upper Saddle River, N.J., Scott Way and his wife, Brenda, of Lafayette Twp., NJ and Deborah Sprung and her husband, Lee, of West Milford, N.J. Loving grandmother of Arieann, Alexis, David, Christopher, Ryan, Mathew and Jessica. Dear sister of Christine Sorensen and her husband, Mainerd of Cincinnati, OH. Aunt of Christian, Patrick and Victoria.
The family will receive their friends at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, N.J., on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral from the funeral home on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, at 8:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception RC Church, Franklin, NJ at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Hardyston Twp., NJ.
