Linda Carbone and her second-grade class from Sussex Christian School were delighted to sing Christmas carols and fellowship with those guests enjoying lunch at The Harvest House at the 1st Baptist Church in Sussex, N.J.
For the past 6 years, Carbone has been taking her students to the Harvest House to share their joy with others. The mission of the Harvest House is to provide a nourishing midday meal to fill the physical and emotional needs of an underserved population in the northern section of Sussex County. Harvest House provides a clean, safe and welcoming environment which is easily accessible to those served.
Volunteers help serve 40 to 50 meals per day. Sussex Christian School provides a quality, Christian education to students in grades K through 8th with a desire to nurture and mold each student for mature Christian service in the church and in the community.
