Newton Theatre to show 'Arrival'

NEWTON — The new movie Arrival, starring Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and Forest Whitaker, will be shown at The Newton Theatre at 7:00 pm on Thursday, Dec. 29 and Friday, Dec. 30.
When mysterious spacecrafts touch down across the globe, an elite team - lead by expert linguist Louise Banks (Adams) — is brought together to investigate. As mankind teeters on the verge of global war, Banks and the team race against time for answers — and to find them, she will take a chance that could threaten her life, and quite possibly humanity.
Arrival has multiple Golden Globe and SAG award nominations and won an AFI award for Movie of the Year. It is also a Critic Choice Award winner for best Sci-Fi film and best adapted screenplay.
