Arts Council plans membership meeting

    The Sussex County Arts and Heritage Council will hold its annual membership meeting on Monday, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m. at the Council’s office, located at 133 Spring Street in Newton NJ. Annual reports of the year will be given by the president, executive director and the treasurer. At this meeting regrant groups will give short reports of their activities in 2016. The 19 art re-grant non-profits and 7 history non-profits will receive notification of their 2017 grants.
    At this meeting, members of the council in good standing are eligible to vote for Linda Swentzel, seeking election to the Board of Trustees. current board members Maureen Hanifan, Melinda McCoy-Miller and Kathy Pope are up for re-election for three-year terms to the Board of Trustees.
    Ballots and resumes may be obtained at the Sussex County Arts & Heritage Council offices.
    Ballots must be returned to the office either by mail or in person.
