    Nov. 30Ronald Gerstmann, 58, of Sussex pleaded guilty to three counts of third degree Theft, failure to make required disposition, fraudulent use of a credit card, and bad check, all crimes of the third-degree and fourth-degree identity theft/impersonation.
    Sentencing is presently scheduled for Feb. 3, 2017.
    The defendant admitted to running several fraudulent schemes from 2013 through 2015, which resulted in the loss of property and money for several victims.
    Most recently in 2016 he failed to provide payment for sheds and barns delivered to his company, Sleepy Hollow Garden Center in Wantage, which sold them on behalf of Old Hickory Building. Additionally the defendant took deposits on sheds and never delivered them.
    Robert Agresta, 53, of Newton pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a third-degree crime, and to the motor vehicle offenses of no insurance, driving while suspended and unregistered Vehicle.
    Sentencing is scheduled for for Jan. 6.
    On May 7, 2016, the defendant was stopped for a motor vehicle violation. In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to possessing 160 wax folds of heroin and to driving while suspended in an unregistered, uninsured vehicle.
    Charles Southard, 27, of Hamburg pleaded guilty to theft, a fourth-degree crime, and burglary, a third-degree crime.
    Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 13.
    In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to taking an iPad from a Franklin residence on June 26. He also admitted to entering a structure in Wantage for the purpose of committing a theft on Aug. 21.
