Husband and wife duo plan church concert

LAFAYETTE — Husband-and-wife musical duo James Gilchrist and Julie Sherwood are seasoned actors and graduates of prestigious Manhattan theater conservatories The National Shakespeare Conservatory and The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, respectively, on Saturday, Dec. 10 from 7-0 p.m. at the Unity of Sussex Church.
For over ten years; James and Julie have toured regionally and internationally, with an artistic repertoire ranging from Shakespeare to musicals to performing their original blend of folk/rock music. They are also regular musical guests at Unity Of Sussex and other spiritual centers in New York and New Jersey.
James and Julie are excited to again be mounting this revival of their sold-out International concert series. The evening will include performances of original music by the singer/songwriter pair, theatrical lighting and sound, and a few sing-along nu1nbers from shows, such as Cabaret and The Sound Of Music as well.
"We intend to thrill our audience with some of the greatest musical moments from the Broadway pantheon — from "Phantom of the Opera" to "The Music Man" to "Les Miserables," they say, "and are delighted to be able support Unity of Sussex in the process."
Tickets will cost $20 and are available in advance or on the night of the concert.
