A win-win casino event

Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice is one of many area not-for-profit organizations committed to sharing their mission with the community they embrace. For many non-profits, outreach to area constituents and businesses for their support is frequent and their responses so generous.
When business leaders at Mitchell Insurance Agency and First Hope Bank extended an invitation to Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice to be the co-benefactor of their 2nd annual Casino Gala along with CASA of Morris and Sussex Counties, Inc., the opportunity to join forces with this collaborative effort was welcomed and appreciated.
On Thursday, Sept. 8, the Farmstead Golf and Country Club was transformed into a festive evening where 200 guests gathered with the thrill of gaming and a spirit of charity. Professionals from Casino Parties, LLC, encouraged attendees, equipped with play money, to try their luck at casino favorites like blackjack, craps and roulette; they also gave tips to others who might not have “rolled the dice” in a real casino setting. The nights’ winnings converted into raffle chances submitted for a drawing of exciting prize possibilities.
Along with the generosity of companies and individuals who provided support through sponsorships, advertisements and attendance, our heartfelt thanks is extended to The Mitchell Insurance Agency: Keith Mitchell, Michael Montague, Heather Mitchell Bischoff; along with leaders at First Hope Bank: Dan Beatty, Kim Morlock and Lauren Blackburn. The event was a success with over $19,500.00 raised to be shared between our organization and CASA of Morris and Sussex Counties, Inc.
The thrill of the Casino Gala was heightened with the enthusiasm and camaraderie of those in attendance, and the evening’s “winners” were the featured non-profits. Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice is grateful to be one of the recipients of such generosity.
    Thank you.
