Jeffrey Dean Drace

Jeffrey “Jeff” Dean Drace, 56 years old, died after a long illness at Weill Cornell Medical Center, New York City, NY on Tuesday, October 4, 2016. Born to Vernon and LaMerne Drace in San Diego, CA, he spent his early years in Franklin, NJ and then Hardyston Twp., NJ for the last 20 years.
Jeff graduated from Franklin High School; received his BA in Physical Education from East Stroudsburg University; his MA in Insurance from Boston University; and held the CPCU insurance designation. Jeff worked as an insurance underwriter for several insurance agencies and brokers including Richards and Summers Insurance Agency in Denville, NJ and most recently Coastal Financial in Boonton, N.J. Jeff. was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception RC Church, Franklin, N.J., and enjoyed golf, fishing, listening to music, and coaching his children in their youth sports programs. He was an avid Giants football fan.
Jeff is the beloved husband for 23 years of Agnes Drace (nee Carey) of Hardyston Twp., NJ. Devoted father of Christopher and Delia Drace at home. Dear brother of David Drace and his wife, Janice of Byram Twp., N.J. and Laura Kempson and her husband, Cullen, III of Sparta, NJ. He was well loved by many nieces and nephews and will be missed by many friends.
The family received their friends at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, N.J., on Sunday, October 9, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral from the funeral home on Monday, October 10, 2016 at 9:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception RC Church, Franklin, N.J., at 10 a.m. Interment followed at Clove Cemetery, Wantage Twp., N.J. Memorial gifts to Friends of PJ Track and Field would be appreciated.
