| 05 Oct 2016 | 01:40

On Tues., Oct. 11, from 7-9 p.m., the chairwoman of the Skylands Group of NJ Sierra Club Susan Williams will give an overview of the reasons NJ Sierra Club and its partners have been fighting to stop logging on Sparta Mountain.
She will summarize what the coalition against the logging has accomplished to date in slowing down the "Forest Stewardship Plan" for the Sparta Mountain Wildlife Management Area. She will then engage with the audience in discussing plans moving forward.
The meeting will be held at the Unitarian Fellowship, 1 West Nelson Street in Newton. Anyone interested is welcome to attend.
