Rocky Horror Show coming to Newton

| 30 Sep 2016 | 03:11

The Newton Theatre presents The Rocky Horror Picture Show as a pre-Halloween treat on Friday, Oct. 28, at 8 p.m.
A pre-movie party will begin at 7:00 pm with music, dancing and a costume contest. Merchandise will be sold in the lobby, including prop bags for use during the movie.
To add to the excitement, professional shadow cast The Home of Happiness will perform throughout the movie. They will act out the scenes in the film simultaneously and cue the audience when to use the props.
Cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show is the longest running theatrical in history, playing continuously in theaters since 1975. The story of Brad and Janet takes a strange twist after their car breaks down and they unwittingly become houseguests of the outlandish Dr. Frank-N-Furter, who makes his entrance with the iconic song Sweet Transvestite. Song, dance, and pandemonium ensue with a bizarre cast of characters.
Tickets for The Rocky Horror Picture Show are $10.
