Free seminar about careers which involve working with children

    A free seminar about careers which involve working with children will be offered to teens and adults on Wednesday, Sept. 28, from 6:30 until 8 p.m. at Project Self-Sufficiency.
    Early childhood specialist, music educator and founder of the Sussex County Youth Orchestra Dawn Tedesco will be joined by Fairview Lake YMCA Camp Executive Director Bob Kahle along with Substitute Teacher and YMCA Camp Ralph Mason Naturalist Maureen Newman for a discussion of the background, education and the skills necessary for success in careers working with youth. Questions from the audience will be welcome.
    "Becoming You: Working with Children" will explore vocations such as teacher, early childhood educator, camp counselor, preschool director, and other youth-related professions.
    The seminar is free and open to teens and adults, but registration is required. Interested participants are encouraged to call 973-940-3500 or 844-807-3500 to register. Project Self-Sufficiency is located at 127 Mill Street in Newton.
