    David N. Haas, 85, died peacefully at home on Monday, Aug. 29, 2016. Mr. Haas, son of the late Michael and Angela (Elk) Haas Sr. was born in Hamburg, N.J., Dec. 19, 1930. He was the youngest and last survivor of 8 children. Mr. Haas was a lifelong resident of the Hamburg and Hardyston Twp Area.
    Mr. Haas was a tool and die maker for Plastoid Corp. having worked in the Franklin and Hamburg Plants for over 40 years. In 1998, he retired from Accurate Forming in Hamburg where he worked for over 7 years. Mr. Haas was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran serving in the Korean War.
    Mr. Haas was predeceased by a son David Haas Jr. in 2014 and is survived by his wife of 57 years, Clara (Casterlin) Haas and a son Brad Haas.
