Adults and Kids Invited to Learn Piano Duets

| 17 Aug 2016 | 12:47

Cherwyn Ambuter, Vernon piano teacher and concert pianist, is offering a Fun Piano Duet Open House for kids and adults who want to learn the most popular duets, includingChopsticks, Heart & Soul, and Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater (the one in which the pianist rolls their knuckles on the group of three black keys; most people don't know it by name). Free and open to the public, but all who participate must not already be studying piano with another teacher. Interested duetters should contact Mrs. Ambuter in advance to sign up for a 30-minute time slot for the event which takes place on Saturday, August 28, between 1 p.m.-5 p.m., ages eight through adult. No prior piano study necessary. No purchase of sheet music necessary. A second such event may be added if there are too many to accommodate. The duetting event will be held in the Ambuter home in Vernon village. Participants from towns other than Vernon are welcome to come join the fun. Great learning activity for bored children at the end of a summer, or for an adult couple wanting a fun date activity. One duet will be learned per 30 minutes. Participants may sign up for only one time slot. More fun if you bring a friend.
