    Scott Verhage, Jr., 27 of Highland Lakes was sentenced to three years in New Jersey state prison with 120 days of jail credit. He was ordered to submit to a TASC evaluation, submit a DNA sample at his own expense, and make restitution of $6,684.60.
    His driver's license was ordered suspended for six months, and he must pay total fines and penalties of $1,205.
    He pleaded guilty on April 21 to receiving stolen property, a third-degree crime, three counts of fraudulent use of a credit card, third-degree crimes, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance not in an original container, a disorderly persons offense.
    Each of the crimes to which the defendant was sentenced relates to items stolen from residences and vehicles in the Highland Lakes section of Vernon Township between December 2013 and June 2014.
    Becky Charbonneau, 32, of Glenwood was sentenced to three years of probation on condition that she serve 30 days on the Home Detention Program, comply with DCPP and any treatment recommendations, submit a DNA sample and pay court fines and fees.
    She pleaded guilty on June 27, to third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
    In April, Vernon police were responding to a welfare check on the defendant and she was found to be in possession of Heroin.
