    Marianne J. Heller, 83, died Friday, Aug. 12, 2016, at Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice in Fredon Twp. Mrs. Heller, daughter of the late John and Tene (Sironen) Sullivan was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., June 21, 1933.
    Mrs. Heller resided in the Lake Shawnee section of Jefferson Twp. for 35 years, moving to Crystal Springs, Hardyston Twp. in 2004.
    Mrs. Heller graduated from St. Vincent’s Hospital Nursing School in New York City and also attended St. John’s University in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was a Registered Nurse at the former Dover General Hospital, Dover, N.J., retiring in 1991.
    Mrs. Heller had a tremendous passion in the medical field. Her concern was seeing that people received proper medical care. She served on several different Congressional Committees regarding medical needs. During her retirement her dedication continued as she lended her expertise serving on various Boards in Sussex and Morris Counties and volunteering for several different organizations.
    Mrs. Heller was a dedicated parishioner of St. Jude the Apostle RC Church in Hamburg for the past 12 years. She was an avid golfer and over the years enjoyed playing at Bowling Green Golf Club, Lake Mohawk Country Club, Palmas Del Mar Golf Club in Puerto Rico and the Crystal Springs Golf Courses.
    Mrs. Heller was predeceased by her husband Robert A. Heller in 2006 and an infant daughter, Katherine Heller. She is survived by her son, Robert A. Heller III of Crystal Springs, granddaughter Courtney Alexis Heller, niece Laurel Martin and several cousins including Jay Swithers and Patricia Swithers.
    A Memorial Mass will be held Monday, Aug. 22, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Jude The Apostle RC Church, Hamburg. Interment of cremains will follow at North Hardyston Cemetery. Friends may arrive at the church one hour prior to the Mass. A reception will follow in the Church Hall.
