Shirley Ettinger, 88

Clifton, N.J - Shirley Ettinger(nee Langer), 88 years old, died after a brief illness at Daughters of Miriam Nursing Center, Clifton, N.J. on Sunday, August 7, 2016. Born to Morris and Gussie Langer in New York City, N.Y., she had lived in Wantage Twp., N.J. since 1950.

Shirley worked as a surgical appliance fitter for Ettinger’s Pharmacy in Sussex, N.J. for 22 years retiring in 1972. She was a member of the Board of Trustees at Alexander Linn Hospital, Sussex, N.J.; a member of the Wallkill Valley Hospital Auxiliary; the Garden Club of Sussex; and a former member of Temple Shalom in Franklin, N.J. She was known as an avid volunteer.

Shirley is predeceased by her sister, Esther Green, and is the beloved wife for 67 years of Cyrus Ettinger. Devoted mother of Linda Lieberman of White Plains, N.Y.; Patricia Tasiopoulos of Newton, N.J.; and Randall Ettinger of Wantage Twp., N.J. Cherished by eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren and two nephews.
