For the first time ever in the tri-state area, air show-goers will have the chance to watch as top acts perform against the night sky on Friday, Aug. 12.
Starting just after 8 p.m., the Aeroshell Aerobatic Team will lift off for their twilight performance. This four-ship civilian team is one of the most sought after acts in the air show industry. They will perform in precise formations as the sky darkens.
Following Aeroshell will be Jerry McCart in his new for 2016 Jet Truck Homewrecker. More than 36,000 horsepower is produced from the 18,000 lbs of thrust in the afterburners.
New to the Greenwood Lake Air Show is Elgin Wells in his unique Starjammer aircraft. Designed and built by Elgin, it required over a dozen patents for all of it's innovations. 250 LED lights are featured on this aircraft as well as its own 4,000 WATT on board sound system.
The grand finale of this special Friday Show is Redline Airshows. Together they will light up the night sky as pyrotechnics fly from their wingtips.
Friday is also host to Bike Night. Bikers are encouraged to bring their rides and park right in the middle of the event! Parking for bikes is free; drivers and passengers pay only the price of admission.
Fresh 102.7 will be on-site doing contests and giveaways. Live music will be pumping prior to the performances by Kick Start Charlie, an 8 piece rock and roll band with a 3 piece horn section! Known for their high energy, they play a variety of hits from the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
Gates will open at 4 p.m. with the kick off at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for seniors and veterans,
