The Center for Prevention and Counseling has announced its second Youth Entrepreneurship Camp.
Youth entrepreneurship inspires our youth to succeed by not only building an employability skill toolbox but providing a vehicle for them to recognize opportunities and empowering them to take ownership of their future in ways which builds bridges between education and real-world success.
According to Maria Pinelli, Ernst & Young and chair of the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, “It is entrepreneurs who represent the best hope of creating sustained economic growth around the world. Students who can develop the entrepreneurial mindset early on are going to have a distinct advantage, whether economic conditions are weak or strong.”
The Youth Summer Entrepreneurship Camp will be held at the Center, 65 Newton Sparta Road, Newton, NJ on Aug. 16-18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The camp is for students who will be enter eighth- through 11th grades in the 2016 school year.
Participants will have fun while learning about real world business skills including, finance, product/service design, marketing, team building, management and recognizing a business opportunity. Participants will work with entrepreneurs to design a business and pitch a business plan to win prizes.
