The Louise Childs Branch of the Sussex County Library System sponsored a Touch-a-Truck event in its parking lot on Wednesday, July 20.
Touch-A-Truck is an interactive event that provides children of all ages the opportunity to explore trucks, construction vehicles, and public safety equipment; and meet those who protect, serve, and build our Sussex County community.
Representatives from both the private and public sectors volunteered their time and vehicles with the children.
The free event featured a variety of vehicles — a police car; two ambulances; a salvage truck; a school bus; several fire trucks; a dump truck, and a pink oil truck — for children to explore. Bob the Builder was also on hand to greet and take pictures with the children.
