Grano Pain Relief moves to new location

Grano Pain Relief and Wellness Center recently moved to a new location at 31 Rte.23 North, just past the intersection of Rte. 94.
Formerly located about a half of a mile away at 108 Rte 23N, Grano Pain Relief and Wellness Center was established 14 years ago. The practice has grown and evolved to offer not only chiropractic care including massage, but also pain management, acupuncture, weight loss and nutrition. Dr. Andrew Grano’s priority has always been to treat his patients with the best chiropractic care in the most comfortable environment.
The move to a larger space allows for that and has personal meaning to Grano, because he renovated a Victorian building that his father and partner practiced orthodontics in for 40 years. It was the younger Grano’s vision to restore the building back to its grandeur and keep the family name alive.
“I was ready to move five years ago, but they kept on working,” said Grano. “Finally they retired and sold the practice, and I bought over the building. We now have more space for longer massages expanding to three rooms.”
And the new location has better parking and easier access to Rte 23, adds Grano.
Known as the Reeve Harden House, built in 1899, the Hamburg Historical Society has a plaque outside the professional building recognizing the importance of it and former owner and mayor of Hamburg Reeve Harden.
Taking six months, Grano had to gut the 3,700-square-foot building’s infrastructure and replace with new electrical, plumbing, HVAC and pipes.
“Some of the features of the building are beautiful, and we wanted to keep the original character," Grano said. "We kept the integrity of the building like the woodwork which everyone loves.”
The rich wood accents can be seen upon entering the original foyer as well as the ornate staircase. Rooms have all been updated and decorated individually and stylishly with unique features.
Modern and new equipment is in use at Grano Wellness including digital x-rays. Upstairs is an acupuncturist and pain management doctor all of which is marketed together for one-stop shopping.
However Grano, a chiropractor for 15 years, clearly points out that the majority of the business is chiropractic care for injury related and general joint issues causing chronic aches and pains.
“A lot of what we treat is seasonally different also. Shoveling in the winter and weeding in the summer causes people to come in more frequently,” he said.
The majority of his patients come from all over Sussex County with many from Sparta where Grano was raised. And the practice also draws from Warwick NY and parts of Pennsylvania. He wants everyone to feel at home in the new space and is grateful and proud of his employees of ten years Holly and Erica who know the patients.
