Getting wet on a hot and humid day

On Sunday the Dog Owners Gathering Society of Vernon Township (DOGS of Vernon) held their 10th Annual Dog Wash.
With temperatures in the upper 80s the canines and the human volunteers didn’t seem to mind getting a little wet.
According to DOGS President Barbara Green, 55 dogs came for their baths, which was nearly a 40 percent increase from last.
Special thanks goes to Dr. Michael Ramieri of Franklin’s Advanced Veterinary Care for the hours of nail clipping and micro-chipping.
The event was once again held at the Vernon Township Fire House on Route 515 in the town center. All proceeds will go toward maintaining the Vernon Dog Park, which is now in its third year of operation.
