Jefferson Township has its day

— Although postponed from its planned Saturday extravaganza, hundreds of residents turned out for Sunday’s 30th annual Jefferson Township Day celebration held in the fields behind Jefferson Township High School on Weldon Road. The day-long celebration included everything from a parade to a fishing derby to fireworks in the evening. Despite the dramatic skies overhead, only a passing shower slowed things down only slightly. There were several food vendors on hand offering their tastiest treats, plus numerous vendors, local businesses and community organizations on site. There was also a series of inflatable attractions for the children, including Knocker Ball, which enabled children to climb into inflatable balls and bowl each other across the field. Live music was provided by Jerzy Sound of Andover as well as additional bands. See more photos on Page 2.
