    June 27
    Aaron Semanchik, 28, of Lafayette, was sentenced to three years probation, credit for 107 days time served, compliance with all Megan’s Law requirements, $50 VCCO, $75 SNSF and $30 LEOTEF. He pleaded guilty on March 21 to one count of Failure to Register, a third-degree crime.

    June 30
    Brian C. Trillo, 32, of Butler, was sentenced to two years probation on condition that he write a 250-word letter of apology to the victim, submit a DNA sample and pay the victims $4535.19 restitution. The defendant was given credit for 183 days already served in jail. He pleaded guilty on March 14 to fourth-degree theft. According to the prosecutor, the defendant took various items from the victim while he was staying in her home in Vernon, and then posted items on Facebook trying to sell them.

    June 27
    The Sussex County Grand Jury handed up an indictment to the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C., at the courthouse in Newton on June 23, according to the prosecutor's office. The indictment charges Michael Gorglione, 29, of Newton, with one count of aggravated assault and one count of possession of a weapon, third-degree crimes. Arraignment before the Superior Court in Newton will take place within the next six weeks.

    The Sussex County Grand Jury handed up an indictment to the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C., at the courthouse in Newton on June 23, according to the prosecutor's office. The indictment charges Donald Hanrahan, 64, of Sussex. Hanrahan had previously been convicted of a sex offense requiring Community Supervision for Life, with one count of violation of a Special Sentence, a third-degree crime. Arraignment before the Superior Court in Newton will be within the next six weeks.

    June 28

    Richard Decker, 58, of Sparta, has pleaded guilty to fourth-degree driving while suspended for a second or subsequent DWI, a crime of the fourth degree, according to the prosecutor's office. Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 2. According to the prosecutor, the defendant admitted that his license was suspended for the second or subsequent time when he was involved in a motor vehicle accident in Hopatcong in January.

    July 5
    Jquan Williams, 18, of Newton, has pleaded guilty, according to the prosecutor's office, to aggravated assault, a third-degree crime. Sentencing is anticipated for Aug. 26. On April 21, Williams had a hard plastic medical cast on his hand. In pleading guilty, he admitted to hitting a person with his casted hand, causing a laceration requiring staples.

    July 30
    Jamar Wilson, 32, of Bogota, pleaded guilty to third-degree aggravated assault. Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 12. Wilson admitted that while he was an inmate in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility, he kicked and punched the victim causing injuries requiring surgery.
