Fireworks planned for July 9

OAK RIDGE — In conjunction with the 30th annual Jefferson Township Day celebration, a huge aerial fireworks display will be presented by Interstate Fireworks Company on the fields at the Jefferson Township High School, 1010 Weldon Road, Oak Ridge, on Saturday, July 9.
The fireworks will begin at 9:30 pm following a two-hour concert featuring the Jefferson Township Community Concert and Jazz Bands under the direction of Peter Tummillo with soloist Nancy Koch at 7:30 p.m.
Free admission until 5:30 p.m. to the other activities on the fields of the high school, then only $3 per adult and $1 per child at all gates. Free parking all day and evening and handicap parking with decal. No alcohol, no drugs, no fireworks, no bicycles, no drones, no dogs/pets, and no large coolers allowed.
Bring a lawn chair or a blanket for comfortable seating under the stars.
