Young rockers sought for Jefferson Township Day

The Jefferson Arts Committee is seeking teen/young adult bands to perform between 1 and 6 p.m. under the Young Rockers tent on Jefferson Township Day scheduled for Saturday, July 9 on the fields of the Jefferson Township High School.
In the past, the area has been a very popular gathering spot and draws a crowd consisting of people of all ages.
The only requirement is that at least one member of the band is a Jefferson Township resident and the lyrics are not vulgar as Jefferson Township Day is a family event. While there is no compensation, it is a great opportunity for young performers to play in public and entertain an audience. The slots are 30 minutes long including set-up and breakdown, and there will be a professional sound technician assisting and monitoring the bands with microphones and a sound board.
Email Carol at artscommittee@jeffersonarts.org or call 973-697-3828 if you are interested and/or need more information.
Be sure to provide your band’s name, a contact name with a telephone number and email address.
