Angela DeStories, a senior at High Point Regional High School, presented Father John’s Animal House with a check for $750.
Angela partnered with Bob Adams, the owner of Bob’s Collectables in Hardyston, for a unique fundraising endeavor.
Adams received numerous Beanie Baby stuffed animals at his store and DeStories offered to sell them at school for $1 each to raise money to help animals in need. She sold 65 her very first day. Between in-store and in-school sales, they were able to raise $750. DeStoris asked that their monetary donation be applied toward the $250,000 2:1 Challenge Grant being offered to the shelter through the end of 2016.
Father John’s Animal House is located at 50 Father John’s Lane, Lafayette, NJ, 973-300-5909, www.fatherjohnsanimalhouse.org.
