Summerjamfest features four musical guests

The Centenary Stage Company’s 2016 Summer Jamfest will fill the Lackland Center with a variety of music to keep you rocking all summer long.
With music to satisfy all ages and musical interests, the Summer Jamfest will run Saturday’s July 16 through Aug. 6 in the Sitnik Theater of the Lackland Center. This year’s anticipated summer lineup features; Parrotbeach, a tribute to Jimmy Buffet, Rob Stoneback Big Band, The Artie Shaw Orchestra, and Desert Highway Band, a tribute to The Eagles.
On Saturday, July 16, at 8 p.m., the Lackland Center transforms into “your ultimate vacation destination” as Parrotbeach brings the best of Jimmy Buffett and Island music to Centenary Stage Company. Parrotbeach is known to be “one of the hardest working full time Buffet Bands on the circuit today.”
The music continues on Saturday, July 23, at 8 p.m. as the swinging sounds of the singular big band era hits Hackettstown with The Rob Stoneback Big Band performing a “class act” of popular swing standards The Rob Stoneback Big Band is a 19-piece swinging big band that has performed all over the Mid-Atlantic region, including New York, Philadelphia, Atlantic City, Baltimore.
The swing keeps on swinging as Centenary Stage Company’s Summer Jamfest continues with the Artie Shaw Orchestra on Saturday, July 30 at 8 p.m. Nicknamed “the king of swing” after his hit, Begin the Beguine, Artie Shaw was thereafter renowned for his innovative combination of instruments. It can be expected for the Artie Shaw Orchestra to play several of the original arrangements that made Artie Shaw so popular in the 1940’s and 1950s. The Artie Shaw Orchestra remains one of the "swingingest" outfits around. Featuring clarinetist Matt Koza, the group hews to the Shaw legacy, and continues with the time-tested formula that has always pleased a full spectrum of audiences from the “Begin the Beguine” fans of yesteryear to the new jazz fans who want to imbibe in an exciting and heady evening of swing.
The Eagles are arguably the quintessential American band. They combine influences of both rock and country music into a unique sound that provided the soundtrack to a generation and on Saturday, August 6-8 p.m. Centenary Stage Company closes out the 2016 Summer Jamfest with Desert Highway Band, A Tribute to the Eagles. Take a nonstop journey through numerous radio hits, top ten singles and favorite solo works of The Eagles.
Tickets for Parrotbeach on Saturday, July 16 at 8 p.m. are $30 for adults and $25.00 for students.
Tickets for The Rob Stoneback Big Band on Saturday, July 23 at 8 p.m. are $25 for adults and $20 for students.
Tickets for The Artie Shaw Orchestra on Saturday, July 30 at 8 p.m. are $30 for adults and $25 for students.
Tickets for Desert Highway Band, A Tribute to the Eagles on Saturday, Aug. 6 are $30 for adults and $25 for students.
Ticket prices increase $5 the day of the performance. All ticket sales are final. All performances will be held in the Sitnik Theater of the Lackland Center.
