Reader supports Kathy Gorman

I read Mr. Gettler's letter stating not to vote for Kathy Gorman! He stated that she has a personal vendetta against the Friends of Lake Neepaulin; this is not the truth. I remember Mr. Gettler at the beginning of this lake fiasco (when he was on the people's side of the fence), blackballing FOLN to no end! We all see where your sympathies lie now, Bill.
Kathy Gorman fought an uphill battle for eight years trying to stop the use of taxpayer's dollars to pay for a private enterprise. She spent $15,000 of her own money, not counting all her time, research and red tape that was involved. I put the blame on the town's previous attorney and a few town committee men. This should have never gone the length of time that it did. The problem could have been resolved at the very beginning by one simple word, "NO". We now have the lesser of two evils. Wantage owns the lake. At least all of Wantage taxpayers are free to use it. The threat of a lake community is gone, plus the private owners with their grandeur ideas — thanks to Kathy Gorman.
Mr. Gettler should put his name on the ballot if he feels he can do a better job. Bill, right now you are out front with the little you pay for the dam repair plus your farm assessment on 11.29 acres for $44, which Wantage taxpayers are subsidizing.
Every one in the R2 Zone owes Kathy Gorman a debt of gratitude. She worked hard for our benefit and a better way. I find Kathy to be very intelligent. She tells it like it is and leaves no stone unturned. If you want good honest decisions, vote June 7, 2016 for Gray and Gorman for freeholder.
