Heaven Hill hosts Woman's Club garage sale fundraiser

Heaven Hill Farm employee Susan Raia ended up being one of the garage saleþÄôs biggest supporters as she collected kitchen-related items to give to a family member who is moving into new living quarters.
Several fine paintings were included in the sale items.
VERNON — Although almost canceled due to the rainy weather, Saturday’s Vernon Township Woman’s Club annual garage sale fundraiser went on as planned.
Rather than holding the event outdoors in tents, the farm graciously allowed the club members to arrange their wares under the covered walkway in front of the farm’s main entrance.
Fundraisers such as this one have enabled the organization to support the charitable and philanthropic activities of the club. This year’s projects include helping domestic abuse victims and cell phones for soldiers. They currently have 37 active members and meet in the Vernon Township Senior Center.
